'Salmon Bhoi' video game banned
A Mumbai court has imposed a temporary ban on a video game called 'Salmon Bhoi' at the request of actor Salman Khan, which is allegedly based on his 'hit and run' case. According to Indian News Agency PTI, the court has banned game maker Parody Studios Pvt Ltd and its director from launching, recreating or creating any other content related to the game.
The court ordered video game makers to immediately remove, block or block access to the game from the Google Play Store and other platforms. The court said in its order that "after looking at the game and its pictures, it was found that it apparently matched the identity of the plaintiff (Salman Khan) and the plaintiff's hit and run case."
The court added that Salman never agreed to make a game. "The plaintiff did not agree to make a game that matched his identity and the case against him. Of course, he has been deprived of his right to privacy and his image has been tarnished." Salman Khan had last month filed a petition in court against the developers of the game, claiming that the name of the game and the pictures shown in it matched them. It was also said in the petition that the famous name among Salman Khan's fans has been taken from Salman Bhai.
It may be recalled that Salman was accused of driving intoxicated people on the sidewalk near American Express Bakery in Bandra area of Mumbai on the night of September 28, 2002. However, the Mumbai High Court in 2015 ruled that the hit Bollywood actor Salman Khan was acquitted of all charges in the Run case.
