Egyptian actors will play the role of Dodi Al-Fayed in the Netflix series 'The Crown'
Egyptian actor Khalid Abdullah will play the role of Princess Diana's friend Dodi Al-Fayed in the International Emmy Award winning series 'The Crown'. According to Arab News, actor Saleem Doo is playing the role of Dodi Al-Fayed's billionaire father Muhammad Al-Fayed. The Netflix series on the British royal family, The Crown, has aired four seasons so far, while the fifth season will feature Egyptian actor Khalid Abdullah as Dodi Al-Fayed.
The fifth season of The Crown is based on events with the royal family in the 1990s. Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed's romantic relationship began shortly before her death in a car accident in 1997. In the new season, Australian actress Elizabeth Debbie will play the role of Princess Diana. The main story of the fourth season of The Crown was about Princess Diana's entry into the royal family. The role of Diana in the series was played by 24-year-old actress Emma Korn, who is not well known. The season featured Diana as a teenage girl who, over time, isolated herself as Prince Charles' fiance.
At the time of their marriage in 1981, Princess Diana was 20 years old and Prince Charles was 32 years old. Charles was portrayed as a sensitive boy in the previous season of The Crown, but his role as Diana's husband also highlighted an element of infidelity.
